“Do I need to have a X-Ray/MRI/CT Scan done in order for my physiotherapist to treat me?”
This is a question that we get a lot! The answer to it is no.
Physiotherapists are highly trained in human anatomy and how different joints, muscles, nerves and tendons move together and the patterns that they make to identify when something isn’t doing what it is supposed to. We can watch you move and be able to pinpoint right away what needs help!
That’s so cool!
Imaging can help shed light on more complex injuries, but most (99%) of the time we don’t need them. We always appreciate getting a fuller picture if they are available!
